I would be fore the elimination of red light cameras in place of paying a higher registration renewal fee. I feel like they are a scam for generating extra revenue and a nuisance for those who are fined accidentally. The fines are set low enough that it is probably not worth most peoples time to persue in court. There are many reasons which could trigger one of these things to take a photo of your vehicle and fine you for an unjustified reason. I was fined while driving behind a large rig which I could not see the light change. I feel like they artificially switch to red just for the purpose of snapping a photo and fining the driver. Very obnoxious in my opinion. Why not just raise registration fees and be donw with it. These camaras are more likely to cause more accidents then they are sopposed to be preventing.

We dont need higher registration fees are you nuts? The cameras are a joke. I got slammed with a $75 fine for stopping 1 foot past the white line. Saw the flash go off and 3 weeks later bam I get a fine.
